MAKE A QUICK FLOOR PLAN OF YOUR HOUSE
Draw a quick floor plan of your premise so that you can have an overview of the situation, for eg how many units of entry or motion sensors that your need to purchase to achieve maximum protection for your premise.

HOW MANY ENTRY POINT IS THERE TO ENTER TO YOUR PREMISE?
Find out how many vulnerable entry points that can be accessed to enter to your premise from outside. With this we refer to doors and windows. Mark them with red circle (or your preference) on the floor plan. For maximum protection, we suggest that you install magnetic entry sensor for all vulnerable entrances. The total number of red circle depicts the quantity of magnetic sensor that you need to get ready. GET AT LEAST 1 MOTION SENSOR AT THE COMMON AREA
It's a valuable second layer of defense against a glass break entry. Consider the common areas of your premise that have valuables, such as your living room and dining rooms. Add an extra motion sensor for more coverage. In the example above, the house is well protected with 2 motion sensors. You can find more information about Installing TimeTec PIR Motion Sensor here.
We know that every house is different and getting the perfect burglar alarm is an important decision. Remember, it's easy to add sensors later, so you really can't go wrong by choosing timetec smart alarm.

1. Distance between Alarm Panel/Controller and each sensor (magnetic sensors, PIR/detector, smoke detector and etc) shall not exceed 15 meters.

2. The PIR/detector can detect any movements up to 7 meters away.

3. Smoke detector should be placed inside or directly outside of each bedroom and common areas, and in laundry rooms and kitchens where fires can originate. To reduce false alarms when cooking, consider installing smoke alarms at least 10 feet away from any kitchen appliances.
